howtheyseeyou.fun is operated by Teleport. The entire point of this site is to show you how platforms use your data. It would be hypocritical to do the same thing. So we don't.

What Happens to Your Photo

When you upload a photo, the following happens in real time:

  • Your photo is sent to Google Cloud Vision API for analysis. Google processes it and returns labels, detected objects, and facial attributes. Google's use of this data is governed by their own privacy policy.
  • The analysis results (not the photo itself) are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate the ad targeting profile text. Anthropic's use of this data is governed by their own privacy policy.
  • Your photo is never stored on our servers. It is processed in-memory during your request and discarded immediately after.
  • We do not save, log, cache, or retain your photo or the generated profile in any database or file system.

What We Collect

Nothing. Specifically:

  • No cookies.
  • No analytics trackers.
  • No pixel tags or fingerprinting.
  • No email addresses.
  • No accounts or sign-ins.
  • No server-side logs of image content.

Third-Party Services

We use two external services to make this work:

  • Google Cloud Vision API — processes your photo to detect labels, objects, faces, and brands. Google may process this data according to their Cloud terms of service. We use the API in data-processing mode, not the consumer product, meaning your image is not used to improve Google products.
  • Anthropic Claude API — generates the ad targeting profile text from the Vision analysis. Anthropic does not train on API inputs by default.
  • Vercel — hosts this website. Standard infrastructure logs (IP addresses, request timestamps) may be collected by Vercel as part of normal operation.

Feedling App

This website links to Feedling, a separate iOS application. If you choose to download and use Feedling, that app has its own privacy policy governing how it handles your TikTok data. Feedling processes data inside a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE), meaning no human — including the Feedling team — can access your raw data.

Children

This service is not intended for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. The service is simple enough that significant changes are unlikely.
